Perfect Beach Vacation We stumbled upon this quaint establishment . . . Then Paradise began!! Tekla and Robert are Amazing Hosts. Extremely accommodating and VERY friendly. The North Villa was a home away from home. Private, relaxing and just a short walk to the ocean. We would recommend the Beachcomber to anyone who enjoys Beach Life!!!

Immaculate! This was our second stay and it was as good as the first. Tekla and Robert think of every little detail, so it is kind of like being in your own home. This time we were in apartment 3, which has a porch with a beautiful view of the ocean. The apartment was immaculately clean and comfortable. I hope we can return again next year!

Perfect! If you are looking for lovely, relaxing accommodations with an amazing view of the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico, this is the place for you. All units are just steps from the beach and beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas are provided. My husband and I love this place! Just got home and already looking forward to our next visit.

This is a magical spot! We love the Beachcomber and have been coming for several years now. Everything about it is excellent from the comfort of the apartment, to the comfort of the beds, to the view to the beach and walk to the beach, to the wonderful friendliness of Tekla and Robert. Being on Casey key is a special spot. We can’t bear to go any other place!

Attention to details Sleeping well on a comfortable bed and pillows! Pretty quiet here, right down from the public Nokomis beach. Robert is very responsive to the point where we feel badly about mentioning a little thing, cuz he will get to it so quickly! He even brought us Valentine heart treats! How sweet is that? They really care for their properties, with attention to details. Everything appears to be in excellent condition and clean, despite it's age. The decor is "over the top" darling in our villa! It is just how I would have wanted it if I were to choose how it was to be done. They have full size refridgerator/freezers. However, not all of the units have dishwashers. There is a shared washer and dryer at $1.75 each, per load. Bring detergent. Tips for staying: Bring your own coffee, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, an extention cord, and a nightlight, as they are not provided. However, they have kitchen utensils, serving ware, pans, a toaster, laundry baskets, towels, beach totes, chairs, umbrella's, books, cards, and other items to enhance your stay.

Relaxing We have been to the Beachcomber on Casey Key the last six years and it is the best! The furnishings are top notch, Tekla and Robert are the perfect hosts, it feels like home! Many little touches one does not see in other resorts in the area. I can’t think of anything I would change, it is perfect! The restaurants in the area are great, many activities in the area. The weather in February is perfect. We plan many more stays at the Beachcomber!

April 2024 This is our third year at the Beachcomber and we extended our stay from 3 nights last year to 4 nights this year. We highly recommend this business and this area! Tekla and Robert are incomparable hosts and they are eager to please their visitors. Each unit that we have seen has every little detail looking perfect. And it's mere steps to the beach! They also can recommend many restaurants in the area and beyond. We can’t wait to return next year!

Heaven in Nokomis My husband and I have just returned from another glorious week at the Beachcomber. We love this place! Tekla and Robert greet you like old friends, not customers. The rooms are beautifully furnished; not at all what you would expect from a beach resort. We also fight over the little plate of goodies in the fridge! Looking forward to our next visit in July!

Old Florida Found We’ve been looking for a place to visit and stay with “Old Florida” charm ever since moving to the state a few years ago. We found it at the Beachcomber on Casey Key. We stayed in Apartment 2 which is a 1950’s beach bungalow, steps from the ocean. It is decorated with a vintage beach vibe, immaculately clean and well appointed for our stay. We could prepare a meal in or visit one of the many restaurants in the area. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Great Place to Stay - Clean, Clean, Clean! First time on Casey Key and had a really nice time. Unfortunately, our arrival coincided with a large tropical storm. So thankful that we were at The Beachcomber since we were stuck inside for the better part of three days. We were in Unit #5 and it was as comfortable as home. Well-equipped and fastidiously clean. The on-site owners were very accommodating and provide pretty much anything that you would need. We like to stay in and relax rather than going out every night, so it was nice that there is a full kitchen and clean gas grills on the property. Enjoyed the stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Great Escape from a Canadian Winter 🙂 We stayed in room #4 for a few nights in December of 2023. Robert and Tekla are wonderful, friendly, and helpful hosts! All the other staff we encountered were great as well. This place is well kept both inside and outside. It's in a relatively quiet and relaxing spot, and you're within a few minutes drive of many restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. Beach towels and chairs were included, which was a nice bonus. The coin laundry is handy, too. Having a kitchen in our room (plus a gas grill outside, which we didn't use) was nice as we didn't have to go out for as many meals. We can't afford to go on a holiday so far from home every year, but I really hope we can make it back to The Beachcomber some day!

Feels like home but on a beautiful beach The attention to details of this property is unmatched. Owners Tekla and Robert were wonderful and there for your every need. Everything, restaurants etc. are all close by. Beach is wonderful and uncrowded. Look no further, book now you will not be disappointed!

Excellent resort. We arrived just days after two major hurricanes and were delighted to find that the welcome and ambiance were excellent as ever. We naturally had some trepidation before arriving but we needn’t have worried…the Beachcomber family had been working feverishly to get the resort back to its usual state. Although the wider area has undoubtedly had damage, Beachcomber was blessed with very little and in fact our apartment on the beach (Gulf) was exactly as always…pristine condition with all the usual amenities and everything working as normal. Some of the plants were damaged but most of them were reviving after a couple of weeks. The beach has changed and the sea oats have gone but the weather was glorious and we were able to walk, sunbathe, fish and paddle as usual. Searching for sharks teeth, shells and sea glass was very enjoyable. The public beach, with lifeguards present, is open as are the car parks although the North Jetty is damaged and was not open when we were there but you could walk to it along the beach. Restaurants, shops and leisure facilities are open and our local favourite…Pops was back in business after a few days while Pelican Alley is due to open on December 1st. The Beachcomber is a wonderful resort, spotlessly clean with everything you need for a perfect beach holiday. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, outside grill are all provided and many extras will be sourced on request. All the apartments are beautifully furnished and maintained, with fully equipped kitchens, plenty of towels and good quality bedding. Owners, Valerie, Tekla and Robert are meticulous in their hospitality and cannot do enough to make your stay a memorable one. We were there for four weeks and had a wonderful time. If you have any lingering reservations about a stay in this resort, don’t worry…it’s an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday. We thoroughly recommend and will be returning in March.

Wonderful stay We had a wonderful stay in early November 2024 for 9 nights in the North Villa at The Beachcomber in Nokomis, Florida. Nice environment, super clean, makes you feel like home. Our hosts Tekla and Robert were awesome. We will come back, for sure.

Casey Key -Nakomis Beach!! We arrived 6 weeks after two big hurricanes and not really knowing what to expect. I can say Tekla and Robert and their staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. We are not new to Casey Key. However, this was our 1st time staying at the beach comber. We had rented the Big Apartment and even though it was not ready in time for our visit due to the hurricanes Tekla and Robert were able to make changes in advance and accommodate us in other apartments. The Apartments are well equipped with everything you need and if by chance you do need something Tekla and Robert will have to it you in no time. They have worked around the clock to have the property ready for guests and they did not disappoint. We were a total of 8 quest, and everyone was very pleased- so pleased we already booked for next year with more people joining us!! If you are looking for relaxation, best sunsets, and great accommodations the Beachcomber is calling your name. Tekla and Robert, thanks for hospitality and we will see you in December 2025

A very special place that is open for business after the hurricane! If you value peace and quiet, being mere steps from a beautiful private beach, welcoming touches by wonderful owners, and immaculate grounds, then look no further than The Beachcomber on Casey Key. It is a family-owned set of units and each one is unique space. They suffered some damage from the hurricane but Tekla and Robert had the place cleaned up and open for business within a very short time. I've been coming here for several years and it has been a marvelous experience every single time. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Fantastic Beachcomber Christmas 2024 Absolutely wonderful experience at the beachcomber! Our unit was wonderfully decorated, very clean, w/balcony towards the gulf, & everything we needed. Owners were charming host and helpful in all local interest. 100% recommend!!!!!

Beachcomber is the Best!! Awesome location! Awesome hosts Tekla and Robert! Awesome place for total rest and relaxation! Loved being steps from the beach and watching beautiful sunsets! Tekla and Robert are friendly and focused on making your stay most enjoyable. We stayed in the Big Apartment which has been beautifully renovated. We absolutely loved our time at the Beachcomber!

Absolutely amazing getaway We have been coming to The Beachcomber for many years and keep coming back every chance we get. Tekla and Robert are the ultimate hosts and every place they offer to stay in is immaculately cleaned and is the epitome of a luxury vacation. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the whole stay there was so relaxing. We absolutely love it here. We highly recommend!

Second to None! The Beachcomber is beyond fabulous! Tekla & Robert are so welcoming & their property and accommodations are immaculate! If you need suggestions of where to go & what to eat around town, just ask & they will help! The private beach is second to none & the sunsets are dreamy!

Staying at The Beachcomber felt like visiting a friend’s home. Tekla was incredibly personable and went out of her way to wait for us when we arrived. You can tell she takes great pride in her property—it’s impeccably clean, cozy, and welcoming. We instantly felt safe, comfortable, and at home. Upon our departure, both Tekla and her husband were so kind and warm to our children. Their property truly has a magical feel to it, and we cannot wait to return. Highly recommend!

Casey Key Escape: Old Florida Charm and Warm Hospitality at the Beachcomber My sister in law and I recently stayed at the Beachcomber after a terrible experience at another hotel on Casey Key. Thankfully, Tekla and Robert had a cancellation and were able to fit us in! We felt so blessed to have stumbled upon this old Florida beauty - we stayed in the North Dockside Villa and it was so charming. Everything about the apartment was immaculate. We had our coffee in the morning by the water and were joined by dolphins swimming by and we spent our days by the private beach finding sharks teeth - a luxury during the very busy Memorial Day weekend! Tekla and Robert welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. We can't say enough wonderful things about the Beachcomber, but we will definitely be back! <3

A Terrific Place To Be. A gem. Beachcomber has units of different size to accommodate singles or families. Exceptionally clean, bedding provides great night sleep, lovely bathrooms, well stocked kitchens, beach towels and chairs. Our family has been going for 14 years. Owners on site and lovely.

Fantastic sunsets Ww spent seven nights here.The location and setting were excellent. It was right on the Gulf of America. Cleanliness was superb. The owners and staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent value. We will return.

Our first trip to Beachcomber...wow wow wow Just got back from 10 nights at the Beachcomber. This was our first stay there. What an absolute wonderful place. Everything far exceeded our expectations, from the roomy and comfortable apartment, the balcony with an awesome view, the ease of enjoying the beach including the comfortable beach chairs...I could go on and on. And the hosts...Tekla and Robert, always made sure everything was going good and/or if we needed anything. We hated to leave, but we are already planning our return trip! Can't wait to be back at our new found paradise!

Wonderful weekend My husband and I went for a long weekend. We had the best time! Robert, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating. We got in late and had trouble finding the apartment, and he got out of bed at 1 AM to help us! The house was clean and had easy access to the beach. I can’t wait to book another trip here!

Better hurry as it is usually filled up. Excellent ownership = excellent accommodations. This was our 4th visit and this time we stayed with members of our family in the "Big Apartment". Again, a first class operation as everything was, as usual, spotless. Finishing touches this time was a nicely placed bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. You can't go wrong!

Another lovely vacation at the beachcomber! Second year at the beachcomber at Casey Key. The attention to detail and cleanliness is amazing. Grounds are meticulously cared for and recovering from the hurricanes this year. Robert and Tekla always available with ideas and recommendations for places to eat and entertainment locally. Relaxing, beautiful, safe place to vacation. Old Florida hospitality at its best! Already booked for next year!

The Palm An amazing stay in The Palm apartment. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Bed was comfortable with extra pillows and a full linen closet of towels. Even beach towels prepped in a beach bag for you. Chairs and an umbrella too! Buy a few groceries, sunscreen and coffee and you will not be disappointed.

The Beachcomber Inn on Casey Key has been my vacation destination for the past 5 years. The Inn is so quaint, the rooms are immaculate, and are so well appointed. Tekla and Robert are just wonderful hosts and they have such pride in their Inn. I feel so blessed and lucky when I go down to Florida to have found The Beachcomber Inn. This is my little heaven on earth and I appreciate being there each time I visit. For me, there is no other place to be - Come ready to leave your cares behind.

My husband & I stayed from 4/25 thru 5/4. We stayed in Palm and loved it. Tekla & Robert really know how to take care of their property & guests. The apt was cozy, CLEAN & decorated with such charm. It had all the comforts of home. We had a huge covered patio with tables & chairs and only feet away from the sand & gulf. I loved lounging in the hammock during sunsets. This was our first time, but will not be the last. Thank You!!!

This property has several options. There is an older section and a newer, more modern section. BUT you can't go wrong, no matter which you choose. These by far are the cleanest, well taken care of places you will ever stay! All are stocked with all the utensils for kitchen or supplies to fish swim or towels and beach bag. The properties are right on the water and located in a small rental community where even Steven King has a house.

Waking up to the sights, sounds and smells of Nokomis Beach on Casey Key must be the closest it gets to heaven on earth, and staying at the Beachcomber is the perfect way to experience this treat for the senses. My wife and I stayed at this property the week of Thanksgiving and can't wait to return. Our host, Tekla, went out of her way to ensure our visit was memorable, even down to providing surprise edible treats to welcome us in our room. A fantastic vacation!

This was our second stay at the Beachcomber. We stayed for 1 week and as we had such a good time this year we booked for 4 weeks and we have already booked for 2015. We cannot fault anything, the units are fitted out with first class fittings, furniture, bedding etc. and have EVERYTHING you need. Tekla and Robert are extremely helpful and their hospitality is second to none. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby or just a few miles away. Wonderful beach just steps away.
